Despite pressure from parallel projects, flexibility on the part of EPI-USE Labs coupled with close collaboration between the teams and their members enabled the project to be completed on time and within budget.
The plan was a restructuring around the company’s SAP ECC system. A detailed two-week blueprinting round-table discussion began the process followed by the successful extraction of relevant data to create a new SAP landscape. Two validation cycles followed, technical and functional, to ensure a smooth cutover process. The cutover took three days, the extract just under five hours (89.6 GB out of 2 TB) and the import of 130.45 million records took just one hour and twenty one minutes, with no downtime.
