EPI-USE Labs has acquired the bPostingEngine software utility from certified SAP and SAP Fioneer partner, bancon-IT. Widely used for accelerating Finance (FI) posting migrations and asset transfers between SAP systems, the software will now be known as the PRISM Posting Engine, and form an integral part of EPI-USE Labs’ proprietary PRISM solution for SAP and ERP transformation projects. Transformation projects, whether SAP S/4HANA or Mergers and Acquisitions, often require complex finance and asset handling. Clients will now benefit from a rapid, robust, object-based approach that is rooted in sophisticated data model mapping and separated from a rich functional layer. This joint technology stack not only slices and transforms data but can now also functionally ‘post’ financial data, assets and documents at scale, affording a simple solution to what is invariably a complex problem.
PRISM is a comprehensive solution of proprietary software provided with specialist services to enable SAP transformation projects to be software- and automation-led. It applies intrinsic ‘Lean Secure’ methodologies to SAP and ERP landscapes, reducing project risk while enhancing consistency and traceability.
By leveraging a software-driven migration approach, PRISM enables higher speed, lower risk transformations across SAP landscapes, than would otherwise be achievable. PRISM enables transformations from SAP R/3 to SAP S/4HANA, SAP Payroll and SAP SuccessFactors with Employee Central Payroll, as well as SAP BW/4HANA and Datasphere. It offers organisations a flexible, cost-effective way to adopt the latest SAP technologies, and works seamlessly alongside RISE with SAP. The PRISM solution also provides a turnkey data migration capability, being the only Selective Data Transition (SDT) service that spans all these SAP solution areas. In addition, it is natively capable of minimising and anonymising non-production environments as they are built, and on an ongoing basis thereafter.
The acquisition builds on a long-standing relationship between EPI-USE Labs and bancon-IT. ‘Since 2003, we’ve used our proprietary software to transform SAP Production system landscapes for M&A and SDT projects,’ said Jamie Neilan, Director of the PRISM Global Service Line at EPI-USE Labs. ‘Embedding this software into our PRISM transformation solution means we can expand automation in key areas of finance and asset data posting, eliminating many of the close-and-rekey activities that clients and partners have long seen as overhead in M&A and S/4HANA projects.
