In this video, Liezel Terblanche, SAP Payroll Reporting Analyst at UK Power Networks explains how the company uses Query Manager for their payroll processes and reporting. Query Manager with Document Builder™ is a powerful reporting solution which is certified by SAP for ‘Integration with SAP S/4HANA®’.

"We have about 6,200 employees we pay on a monthly basis, and then about 12,500 pensioners. We use Query Manager 4. In terms of payroll reporting, we have some pre-payroll run checks and reports we do, and then obviously a lot of reporting takes place post-payroll, and then third-party reporting. I think there are probably about fifteen types of different reports that we run on a very regular basis.

We have done all bespoke reports. We initially used Query Manager 3 and the goal was that we transition the Query Manager 3 reports to Query Manager 4.
So we've taken a look at the existing ones and seen whether they needed some improvement and refreshing, and then also to get them in line with GDPR.  And then, obviously, with the idea of automating as much as we can, we have used the bespoke functionality that it offers. When a request lands in an inbox for a statement of earnings you can see everyone's a little wary. Where we're currently just using a Word document and having to type in figures and addresses manually, if we can use Document Builder, we can just automatically generate it. That's another time saving.

This kind of improvement will then make the process less mundane. So by the time it gets to the administrators, there's very little for them to actually do. There'll always be a manual part to the process, but if we can eliminate it when necessary, that just reduces the risk so much."
