Hybrid cloud will be a key pillar of the next wave of transformation in SAP infrastructure, and private cloud is an important component of this hybrid strategy. According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), 85% of respondents say that they intend to move 50% of their cloud-based applications back on-premise again from the public cloud. Why would people consider such seemingly drastic action if the cloud has been touted as the future solution?
It seems that both cost and risk are key driving factors: many companies are hoping to cut costs and reduce risks by moving some of their SAP data back on site. Could private cloud be a suitable option to consider?
