VELUX uses Data Sync Manager for secure SAP test data
Emil Seierøe Madsen shares his lessons learnt during the project at VELUX to create secure, GDPR-compliant SAP test data.
During my presentation, I tried to give my experience, my learnings from the last one and a half years working with EPI-USE Labs. Trying to sort of highlight the the pain points we ran into, how we mitigated the issues, the fact that it's not only an IT project. There's a lot of business and change management in there. So getting the the software up and running is one part of it.
But then when you need to execute the software then you need the business to sign off and agree and be on board. The challenge we had at VELUX before we bought Data Sync Manager from EPI-USE Labs was the the fact that we had a full production copy in in our QA environment. We would like to reduce the data footprint in the QA environment and also be able to be more GPDR compliant meaning scrambling the data then finally be able to make the updates more frequently than we do today. That is why we look to EPI-USE Labs solutions.
