In 2019, I published a blog called Choosing your path to SuccessFactors? where I talked about how clients had several options on how to move forward on their journey to the cloud.

Since then, several new options have come forward, including options for digital transformation in line with the HXM Move initiative.

Deciding on your digital transformation strategy for HXM and Payroll can be complicated. There is quite a bit going on in the marketplace, and you want to make sure you make the right decision and start the migration at the right time, and at the right pace. There is no one-size-fits-all strategy for every client, and there are items that will impact which direction you should go, and how fast or slowly you should do so.

 

A lot of this is going to depend on the complexity of your specific SAP HCM or Payroll system. For example, you may have heard in the past that clients with complex Time and Benefits configuration might be a good fit for the SAP® HCM for SAP S/4HANA On-Premise Edition, and that clients looking forward to an affordable SaaS model might be a great fit for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.

It’s essentially a transport that collects key structural data from your system, including things like:

  • number of countries configured for Payroll
