Specialist software used to migrate 12,000 employees’ data

As part of the larger transformation project, EPI-USE Labs used Client Sync™, part of the Data Sync Manager™(DSM) suite, to migrate technical objects and HCM and Payroll configuration from the SAP® Retail environment to the SAP S/4HANA® system.

DSM for HCM was used to migrate 12,000 employees, including their payroll history, to the S/4HANA system. During testing, EPI-USE Labs’ Variance Monitor™ solution was also used to compare payroll results during multiple parallel payroll cycles. At go live, the team completed all migration activities in less than four hours, including a minor transformation for bank data.

Successful digital transformation for retail group in just four hours

EPI-USE Labs’ tools allowed FairPrice Group to migrate all employee data, without business interruption. The SAP S/4HANA system now contains all of the group’s employee data and payroll history.

  • Copied over 1,500 technical objects
  • Duplicated 12,000 employees with payroll history
  • Activities completed in less than four hours, including reconciliation
