Feb 13, 2018 2:08:49 PM

Human Capital Management data is found on Infotypes in SAP HCM.  Each infotype has a 4-digit numeric identifier, like Infotype 0008 for Basic Pay.  There are certain ranges of numbers to denote the types of data in the infotype.  For example, Personnel Administration data can be found on infotypes in the number range 0000 through 0999.  Data related to HR planning and Organizational Management can be found in the range 1000 through 1999.  Time Management data is found in 2000 through 2999 and Applicant data is found in infotypes in the 4000 through 4999 range.

This paper included a series of questions designed to help organizations understand these metrics, and to make those decisions.  Sample questions specific to Workforce Demographics and Diversity include:

  1. What percentage of your workforce will retire in the next year or in the next five years?
  2. What is the average age in your organization? In the last five years, has it increased, decreased, or remained the same?
  3. What is the average tenure of people in your organization? In the last five years, has it increased, decreased, or remained the same?
  4. What is your ratio of managerial to non-managerial staff? In the last five years, has it increased, decreased, or remained the same?

SAP Certification

You will see the word certification thrown around quite a bit from SAP Partners and it is often a popular question asked in an Request for Proposal (RFP).  A certification from SAP is an important requirement, especially for software that you load into your SAP system. I wrote this blog to share what you need to know about certification, how you can distinguish between different types of certification and how you can check to see if a product or company is SAP certified.

What are the 4 options for existing SAP Payroll Customers?
SAP has approximately 9,000 active on-premise Payroll customers today. In 2012, it was announced that support for all on-premise SAP HCM would be guaranteed through calendar year end 2025. The goal of SAP SuccessFactors is to transform its on-premise SAP HCM and Payroll customers to cloud-based solutions, leveraging not only the SaaS platform but also the latest technology available.
